The Port is 230 km from Ancona, 270 km from Bari. 75 km from Pescara (Liberi Airport), 20 minutes from the central station of the city of Vasto. To calculate the travel route and find out how to reach the port, access Google Maps and enter the origin for the calculation.
The Port of Vasto is directly connected with the SS 16 (about 2 km away) without hindrances due to inhabited centres.
The A14 motorway (Vasto Nord exit) is only 5 km from the port.
The SS 650 Trignina (about 12 km away) allows you to quickly reach the Tyrrhenian coast.
Furthermore, taxi and city bus services connect the Port of Vasto quickly and easily from the City Centre.
Mooring Features
- Western quay: length 210m, ship permitted for mooring 170 m. all out, mooring is permitted for ships carrying dangerous, flammable and polluting cargo at a safety distance of 50 m. from other units.
- Shore quay: Length 345 m. Maximum vessel length allowed for mooring 170 m. out all. Hours of operation: Vessels over 90 m. length overall cannot perform manoeuvring at night.
Auxiliary Navigation Services
- Pilotage: Mandatory for vessels over 60m. length overall and at 500 t.s.l.
- Boatmen: There is a group of boatmen.
- Tug: There is a 850 HP tug. The service is mandatory for vessels with an overall length exceeding 85 m.
Vessels with an overall length of up to 120 m are exempted from the service, only if equipped with a double stern thruster and forward bow thruster or alternatively with a bow thruster and stern thruster. Instead, it is mandatory for all ships carrying dangerous, flammable and/or polluting cargoes, and for all ships with GRT exceeding 500 tons if there is a ship in port that unloads the above cargoes.

Port Vehicles and Facilities
Port cranes, capacity of 30/40/100 t with arm of 20/40 m. maximum height from the bottom of the hold (cauldron) to coaming (hatchway) 10 m.;
- Buckets with maximum capacity of 10/18 m3 of water;
- Hooks for unloading coils, maximum yield 30 t.
- Mechanical shovels of various sizes;
- Forklift;
- 2 hoppers for unloading bulk material, one of which is de-dusted;
- Port Weighbridge.
- Goods storage
Directly on the quay and in a fenced area/covered warehouse (about 1 km from the port), we have a total of 7000 covered square meters and 8000 uncovered square meters.
Water Supply
Water services is supplied through an authorized company.
Bunker Services
Possibility of making bunkers using tankers from coastal deposits, the fire and anti-pollution services are mandatory.
Additional Services
Availability of specialized mechanical workshops for repair work, even on board the ship.
